The Samana peninsula is located in the northeast of the island of Hispaniola in the Dominican Republic. This mountain landscape offers you plenty of beautiful natural sceneries and unforgettable views of your surroundings.

You can see for example beautiful shores on the southern coast of the peninsula or the quiet beaches lined with coconut palms on the North Coast. Inside the peninsula is the mountain range – Cordillera de Samaná, whose peaks reach the hight more than 500 m.

In January-March, thousands of whales come into the Bay of Samana, to give a birth to calfs. This unusual experience can be seen and experienced with your own eyes. On our page you can choose from several trips offering a visit to this area. (redirect to a given trip)

In the southwest part of the peninsula, the National Park – Haiti is located. Here you will see countless species of plants such as American cedar, Dominican mahogany tree and red or white mangroves. There are also rich bird species and caves with wall paintings dating from the pre-Columbus period.
